PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and save energy by braking a rotary shaft with the use of a pair of brake holders and a spring and dispensing with an electromagnetic means. SOLUTION: A motor brake structure is so constructed that a brake part 5 comprises the pair of brake holders 7 and 8 turnably mounted on a case 3 via a pivot part 6, and the spring 9 for pulling the brake holders 7 and 8 inward to each other, and that the brake holders 7 and 8 hold the rotary shaft 4 in between.
