PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion piece structure of upper needle board of a circular knitting machine for a double-sided pile fabric. SOLUTION: A guide route for a sinker cap is formed in a corresponding state. After the sinker cap drives an outside pile sinker and an inside pile sinker and pushes them out and actions of loop hanging, yarn drawing and loop sinking of a knitting needle are combined, piles are formed both on the inside and the outside of a double-sided pile fabric. Collisions between the sinker cap and the outside pile sinker and the inside pile sinker are prevented by the insertion piece and damages of the sinker cap, the outside pile sinker and the inside pile sinker are prevented.
