PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method for deterioration using a time-serial data of an electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: This method has a measuring means 3 for measuring an electric characteristic value of the electrolytic capacitor 2, a storage means 5 for storing time-serially a result measured by the measuring means, and a determination means 4 for determining the deterioration of the capacitor 2 based on the result stored in the storage means. The measuring means measures any one selected from characteristics of a group comprising an electrostatic capacity, a Tanδ, a leakage current and an impedance, in the electrolytic capacitor.
