PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for back-up roll that can elongate service life of a whole apparatus, by equalizing service life of rollers. SOLUTION: A clearanceδ2 among rollers 22A, 22D of a line outside a central line formed of rollers 22B, 22C, an outer ring 20 and a shaft 21 is larger than a clearanceδ1 among the rollers 22B, 22C, outer ring 20 and shaft 21. Under a state where the shaft 21 is bent by receiving high load, bearing pressure received by the rollers 22B, 22C of the central line approximates bearing pressure received by the rollers 22A, 22D of the outer line. Therefore, the service life of each line is equalized thereby to elongate the service life of the whole bearing device 10.
