PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which makes it possible to compare a projection image of an object with a reference chart without using any sheet type chart. SOLUTION: The projector which projects the image of the object on a projection surface 153 is equipped with an image display device 200 which displays a chart image 250 showing a chart so that it can be observed on the projection surface. The image display device 200 displays the chart image 250 so that the image can be rotated and displaced on a projection surface 550.
