PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding seat for an automobile enabling releasing a slide lock mechanism by whichever operation from a front part side or a back part side and sliding forward from the back part side. SOLUTION: Operating levers 14, 15 for an occupant are mounted on the front and back part sides of the seat. Pull wires 16, 17 connecting to an actuation cam 13 from the levers 14, 15 are respectively pulled out and an end of each wire is connected to a relative position of the cam 13 with an axial line of an actuation shaft 11 as the center. The cam 13 to release the slide lock mechanism by whichever operation of levers from the front or the back is rotatively constituted.
