PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide optical articles having fine shapes with high quality by eliminating (1) the futility of a UV curing resin liquid produced in coating of the surfaces of molds with the resin liquid, (2) the intrusion into the resin liquid, etc., in manufacturing the optical articles by a 2P process. SOLUTION: This method includes a process step of applying and forming the UV curing resin liquid (if necessary, applying defoaming or smoothing by air blowing) to the entire surface of the fine rugged shapes of the molds by using a slit nozzle (or multiplex nozzle) having a slit-like aperture of the opening extending in a direction approximately perpendicular to a coating application direction, laminating a translucent base material on this resin liquid and leveling off and flattening the resin liquid by ironing the surface by a pressure roll from the translucent base material side.
