PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material giving sufficient image density at a practical reaction temperature in a practical reaction time and suppressing the coloration of a white background in long-term storage after development. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material containing at least one photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder on one face of the base, a compound having an isocyanate group or a substituent of formula (1) (where Lv is a releasable substituent) is contained in at least one of the constituent layers of the heat developable photosensitive material.
