PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunoassay which can detect a substance, to be inspected, without generating a background color development. SOLUTION: The immunoassay is constituted in such a way that, in immunochromatography, under the existence of a surface-active agent, a sample to be inspected in developed on a test piece comprising a stationary phase to which a first specific bonding substance capable of being specifically bonded to the substance, to be inspected, on a water-absorbing substrate.
