PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment for a vernier caliper only attached to a jaw at a fixing side and a jaw at a moving side of the vernier caliper that can measure a thickness of a position inside or a caved part of a measured object and a dimension of a deep inside part. SOLUTION: The attachment comprises a pair of probes 12, 12 that are fixed extensionally to each of the jaws 3, 5 at the fixing side and the jaw 5 at the moving side on the vernier caliper 1, and both the probes 12, 12 are formed with measuring arms 14, 14 placed at detachable installation parts 13, 13 to each of the jaws 3, 5. These both gauge heads 12, 12 can be fixed to each of the jaws 3, 5 so that measuring faces 21, 21 at top ends of the mutual measuring arms 14, 14 are a zero setting condition under a zero-setting condition of the jaw 3 at the fixing side and the jaw 5 at the moving side.
