PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring matter which is soluble in organic solvent and is environmentally friendly. SOLUTION: The chlorophyll derivative-containing resin composition is prepared by copolymerizing a chlorophyll derivative and a monomer having a double bond in the presence of a free radical initiator.
