PURPOSE: A wall-mounted microwave oven and a control method are provided to automatically control the output level of the microwave oven according to the operation of a hood motor. CONSTITUTION: A wall-mounted microwave oven is composed of a hood driving unit for controlling the operation of a hood unit, an output converting unit for controlling power supplied to a transformer, and a control unit. The control unit controls the output converting unit according to the operation of the hood unit.
