PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently constructing a large-sectional tunnel like an underground parking, for instance. SOLUTION: There is provided a shield tunneling method, according to which the natural ground is excavated by a shield machine 100 and constructing an outer hull lining structure 57 on a rear side of the excavation. More specifically, a plurality of parallel drifts 51 are constructed, and a part of a support structure 55 of each of the drifts 51 is cut, followed by excavating the natural ground between the drifts 51. Then, the two drifts 51 are connected together to form a single excavated space, and thereafter the outer hull lining structure 57 is sequentially constructed in the excavated space. There are also provided a large-sectional tunnel constructing method using the shield tunneling method, the large-sectional tunnel per se constructed according to the method, and the shield machine for use in the method. |
