PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly align the joints of recording lines recorded by a plurality of optical scanning modules or to make the joints of the respective recording lines inconspicuous, to solve the problems. SOLUTION: The optical scanning modules 200 are arrayed by several groups so that the scanning lines may be one straight line in a main scanning direction, and line image data is divided and distributed corresponding to each of the optical scanning modules. A light source is modulated based on divided line image data. By aligning the respective scanning directions of the optical scanning modules and shifting timing to start recording to the optical scanning module adjacent to a scanning start side, the timing to start recording is adjusted to timing to finish the recording of the optical scanning module arranged on the scanning start side. |
