PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film which is light in weight and flexible, shows a small temperature dependence of a gas barrier property while showing the high gas barrier property and does not generate a toxic gas when the film is incinerated. SOLUTION: A gas barrier film has a gas barrier layer mounted on at least one surface of a substrate made of a plastic film wherein the gas barrier layer is made mainly of an oxide of indium and celium.
