PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder transport method and a powder flow rate measuring method capable of reducing required motive power, capable of restraining abrasion of a pipe passage, and capable of stably transporting powder while measuring a flow rate of the powder in real time. SOLUTION: The powder 7 is filled by closing a globe valve 4 of a bottom part of a hopper 1, and carrier gas having pressure higher than a reactor 2 is introduced to an upper part of the hopper 1 via a pressure regulating valve 3. When opening the globe valve 4, the powder 7 is pushed out in a transport pipe passage 6 by a pressure difference, and moves to the reactor 2. A measuring device 8 for measuring the power flow rate by measuring a pressure difference between two places or a measuring device 9 for measuring the powder flow rate by measuring acoustic emission can be arranged in the middle of the transport pipe passage 2.
