PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade position control unit for a paper machine enabling wires to be guided toward a dehydrating foil side through securing flatness of the wires in the wire part of the paper machine. SOLUTION: This blade position control unit for a paper machine includes a plurality of blades 60 disposed on the underside of a twin wire 103 for conveying a paper stock at intervals rectangularly to the moving direction of the twin wire and a plurality of controllers (lift means) 400 functioning to subject height regulation pieces 50 fixed on a plurality of positions on the underside of each of the blades to vertical motion by the retractable action of a rod 31 disposed at a cylinder section 30; wherein each of the controllers 400 has the following scheme: the cylinder section 30 is set up so that the rod 31 moves horizontally and the horizontal movement of the rod 31 is convertible to the vertical movement of each of the height regulation pieces 50.
