METHOD FOR PREVENTING USE OF ILLEGALLY COPIED CARD BY USING RANDOM NUMBER

PURPOSE: A method for preventing the use of an illegally copied card by using a random number is provided to minimize the damage and to effectively trace the crime activity illegally copying the card by recording the new random number given by a card company to the card whenever using the card. CONSTITUTION: A card reader/writer of a card member shop transmits the first random number and the information of the card to a server of the card company in order to obtain the transaction permission(S12). The first random number is compared with the second random number matching to the card information stored in the server(S30). If both random numbers are same, the server permits the transaction(S38) and transmits other new random number together with a transaction permission number to the card reader(S32). The member shop records the third random number to the card by using the card reader/writer if the transaction permission number is received(S20).
