PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit, which simultaneously satisfies toner releasability and wear resistance of developing roller, enables obtaining a stable thin layer of toners and to obtain images of high image quality which are freely of after-images and an imaging device. SOLUTION: The developing unit 22 of the imaging device is a one-component developing unit 22, which has the developing roller 40 for conveying the toners into an image carrying member 12 by moving, while transporting the toners on its surface and a deposition thickness regulating member 44 for regulating the deposition thickness of the toners by abutting against the developing roller 40 across the toners deposited on the developing roller 40 and visualizes the latent image on the image transporting member 12 by the toners transported by the developing roller 40. At least the surface of the developing roller 40 comprises a material, containing a polyimide denatured silicone resin. |
