PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent chain capable of realizing a reduction of the number of parts and a light weight of the silent chain and inhibiting an abrasion of a connection pin and a bush and an abrasion elongation of the silent chain. SOLUTION: In the silent chain 1, the link assembly 3 in which at least two sheets of inner link plates 4 are connected and fixed by the bush 5, intermediate link plates 6 and guide plates 2 are connected by the connection pin 7. A row of the link assembly 3 is arranged at a center in a width direction of the chain over a longitudinal direction of the chain. The intermediate link plates 6 are arranged at both outer sides of this link assembly 3 and the guide plates 2 are further arranged at the outermost sides over the longitudinal direction of the chain. A length of the bush 5 constituting the link assembly 3 is an approximately equal length to a gap between the respective intermediate link plates 6, 6.
