PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diazo heat-sensitive recording material of a red, magenta and purple color developing type which shows outstanding shelf life, image conservation and fixing properties with an improved hue as well as a new coupler compound to be suitable used for the heat-sensitive recording material. SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recoding material has a recording layer containing a diazonium salt compound and a coupling component whch develops a color through chemically reacting with the diazonium salt compound. The coupling compound of this material is a chemical compound represented by formula (1). In formula (1), R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an acyl group; L is a hydrogen atom or an eliminated group; and a ring A is a cyclic structure which a heteroatom and/or may have an unsaturated bond. The coupler compound represented by formula (4) is particular preferable among the chemical compounds represented by formula (1). |
