PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium which shows high stability to a plasticizer and the like and also a significantly enhanced recording sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording medium having a recording layer containing a colorless or pale color basic colorless dye and an organic developer as main components on a support, the heat-sensitive recording layer contains a urea-urethane compound represented by formula (1) as the organic developer and a sulfonamide compound represented by formula (2), with an oxalic acid- di(p-methylbenzyl) or a 1,2-bis(phenoxymethyl) benzene. (In formulae (1) and (2), R is an 1-6C alkyl group or an electron-attractive group and x is an integer of 0 to 2).
