PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the response of pressure control of low-pressure steam supplied to a production apparatus for moisture-controlled coal and thus provide a pressure control method of a low-pressure steam whereby moisture-controlled coal with a uniform quality can be produced even when the water content of coal for coke making fluctuates. SOLUTION: High-pressure steam generated by a coke dry-quenching apparatus 1 is supplied to a power generation turbine 2; low-pressure steam exhausted from the exhaust pipeline 4 of the power generation turbine 2 is supplied, under the control of its pressure to a predetermined aimed value, to a moisture- controlled coal production apparatus; the pressure and flow rate of the low- pressure steam are measured, and the measured values are sent to an arithmetic unit 9; and the aimed value of the pressure is corrected basing upon output signals obtained by the operation of the arithmetic unit, thus controlling the pressure of the low-pressure steam.
