PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an environment-protecting FKM (fluororubber) composition which exhibits rubbery properties similar to those of a conventional one by using an acid acceptor generating no lead compound. SOLUTION: Based on 100 pts.wt. rubber in a fluororubber composition, an acid acceptor comprising 1-20 pts.wt. magnesium aluminum hydroxide- carbonate hydrate and 1-10 pts.wt. calcium hydroxide is added to the composition. The use of the acid acceptor comprising magnesium aluminum hydroxide- carbonate hydrate and calcium hydroxide and containing no lead compound does not cause the generation of a harmful lead compound and the deterioration in rubbery properties.
