PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of providing satisfactory effect for reducing paper sheets overlap feeding. SOLUTION: A jump base 4 projecting for a face of a bottom plate 3 is provided on the bottom plate 3 and is provided with an inclination part 6 which becomes higher as advancing toward the downstream side in the direction of paper feeding and a plane part 7 substantially parallel with the face of the bottom plate 3 provided between an end part on the downstream side in the direction of paper feeding of the inclination part 6 and an end part on the upstream side in the direction of paper feeding of a pad 5.
