PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming device employing a latent image forming solution, capable of being retained stably and preventing the clogging of a nozzle. SOLUTION: The image forming method comprises a latent image forming process and a transfer process. In the latent image forming process, the latent image is formed by a method wherein an adhesive material for transferring a transfer recording layer onto the surface of an image receiving body and a latent image forming solution containing a compound shown by general formula (I) R-(S-P)n are applied as same as an image on either one of the surface of transfer recording layer of an image transfer material or the surface of an image receiving body. In the transfer process, the surface of transfer recording layer of the image transferring material is contacted closely with the surface of the image receiving body and is heated to transfer the transfer recording layer coping with a part whereat the latent image is formed. In the formula, R shows a hydrophobic group or a hydrophobic polymer and P shows a polymer containing at least one of the following composition units A, B, C and whose degree of polymerization is not lower than 10 and not higher than 3500. n shows an integer of 1 or 2. |
