PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for renewing an existing gas pipe in a digestion tank capable of renewing the gas pipe without emptying the digestion tank, and the digestion tank. SOLUTION: In the method for renewing the existing gas pipe 2 of the digestion tank 10 having the existing gas pipe 2 connected to the digestion tank 1 via a gas outlet 1a and a valve 3 installed on the existing gas pipe 2, an insertion port 13 is formed in the existing gas pipe 2, a hose 17 having an inflatable bag 16 is inserted therein while sealing the insertion port 13, the gas outlet 1a is closed by inflating the bag 16, a downstream side part 6 of the valve 3 is removed, new gas pipes 19 and 22 are fitted to the existing gas pipe 4 to an insertion port 23 of a new gas pipe 19 via the hose 17, and the bag 16 is contracted while sealing the insertion port 23 of the new gas pipe 19. Since the gas outlet 1a is closed by the inflated bag 16, the existing gas pipe 2 can be renewed without emptying the digestion tank 1. |
