PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device where a good image can be obtained without any background soiling by preventing rising of the toner concentration by preventing movement of developer into a toner storing chamber, even when a toner-replenishing opening is positioned in a direction above the toner storing chamber during a developing device attaching and detaching operation. SOLUTION: In the device, a shutter 13 is provided in between a toner-storing chamber 8 and a toner-replenishing opening 8a. A claw 13a, having a spring 13b, is provided in the shutter 13. When the developing device is set to an imaging device, a lever (not shown) in Figure which moves the claw 13a upward is provided on the imaging device side, the shutter 13 is opened by the operation of the lever and replenishing of the toner from the toner storing chamber 8 can be carried out. Furthermore, when the developing device is removed from the imaging device, the shutter 13 is closed by the spring 13b and the developer 3a of a developer-pooling part 3b is prevented from moving to the toner-storing chamber 8 through the toner replenishing opening 8a. |
