PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion assistant which serves to generate a high quantity of heat in a relatively low temperature region and exhibits an effect of controlling the generation of dioxins and carbon monoxide. SOLUTION: The combustion assistant comprises a titanium oxide powder coated with a polycarbonate, obtained by adding a titanium oxide powder to a solution of the polycarbonate in toluene.
