PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for supporting a cylinder for turning of an arm, which can prevent a selvage part of a cylinder stay from spreading for deformation with grease supply without providing such a reinforcing material as to be disposed in an upper part of the selvage part. SOLUTION: This structure is provided in an ultra compact swing hydraulic excavator having the cylinder stay 9 which is coupled to an upper boom 5 so as to be swingable in a horizontal direction, an arm 10 which is coupled to the cylinder stay 9 so as to be turnable in a vertical direction, and the cylinder 8 for the turning of the arm 10, which drives the arm 10. The structure has a boss 32, which is provided in a cylinder tube 28 of the cylinder 8, and a trunnion pin 20 which is inserted into a closed-end hole 31 formed in the boss 32 and a hole formed in the selvage part 32 of the cylinder stay 9. A protrusion 34, which is extended in a direction of extension of the cylinder stay 9 and, for example, formed with a T-shaped longitudinal section, is provided in an inner wall part of the selvage part 32.
