PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-layer fabric for paper manufacturing improved in abrasion resistance and good balance of service stability compared to conventional fabrics for paper manufacturing, thus usable for a long period. SOLUTION: This two-layer fabric 1A for paper manufacturing is constructed by weaving ten warps 2 and paper manufacturing face side wefts 31 and traveling face side wefts 32 together; wherein the count ratio of the wefts 31 to the wefts 32 is 2:1, the 1st warp is crossed on the upper side of the paper manufacturing face side 1st to 3rd wefts and on the underside of the traveling face side 5th and 8th wefts, and the other warps are crossed between the paper manufacturing face side weft layer and the traveling face side weft layer; further, the 2nd warp is woven and disposed longitudinally relative to the 1st warp by a magnitude equivalent to 14 paper manufacturing face side wefts; thus, this two-layer fabric can be improved in abrasion resistance compared to conventional fabrics for paper manufacturing and the yarn meandering of fabrics for paper manufacturing can be effectively prevented.
