PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which can be used as the latent curing agent for epoxy resins or thiirane resins. SOLUTION: The compound can be obtained by subjecting the hydroxyl group of an oxazolidine compound to be represented by formula (1) (wherein R<1> is a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; R<2> and R<3> are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-15C monovalent hydrocarbon group) and at least one kind to be selected from the group consisting of an alkoxysilyl group, an isocyanate group, a vinyl ether group and a carboxyl group functional group which a compound has as the functional group, to addition reaction or condensation reaction.
