PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve braking feeling when a front wheel running on a road surface having low friction coefficient is singly braked in an antilock brake control method for a motorcycle capable of performing antilock control of wheel brakes for the front wheel and a rear wheel independently from each other by starting pressure increase control when computed acceleration and deceleration based on wheel speeds detected by wheel speed sensors for the front wheel and the rear wheel, respectively, are converted from a positive value to a negative value. SOLUTION: When antilock control of the wheel brake for the front wheel while the front wheel is singly braked on a road surface having a low friction coefficient is performed and a slip rate of the front wheel is reduced below a set slip rate in a scope that a differential value WDD of computed acceleration and deceleration ACL of the front wheel is less than a predetermined set differential value WDDO after the computed acceleration and deceleration ACL of the front wheel exceeds positive set acceleration and deceleration ACLO, a liquid pressure of the wheel brake for the front wheel is increased and controlled even before the computed acceleration and deceleration ACL of the front wheel is converted from the positive value to the negative value.
