The arrangement has an estimation center (50) with an arrangement for deriving characteristics (74) to which image data from an image-resolving detector (76) are passed. The center also generates a limited number of characteristic parameters from the data by image processing to characterize a target image. The parameters are passed to a learning system (80) that is trained to generate an estimate of target acceleration.
