PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium which shows superb recording sensitivity and resistance to heat texture blushing properties under conditions of about 100 deg.C and further, an excellent shelf stability of a recording part. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording medium having a support and a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye, a coloring agent and a sensitizer formed on the support, the coloring agent is at least one kind selected from the group of a 2,4-bis(4-methylphenyl sulfonyl) phenol, a 2,4-bis(2,5- dimethylphenyl sulfonyl) phenol and a 2,4-bis(phenyl sulfonyl)-5-methyl phenol. The sensitizer is a 1,2-bis(4-methylphenoxy) ethane. Further, the heat-sensitive recording layer contains a non-phenolic aromatic compound having a sulfonyl group such as [2,4-bis(phenyl sulfonyl)-5-methyl phenyl]benzene sulfonate. |
