PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scooter type vehicle for securing the box capacity of a storing box arranged under a seat and improving foot placing performance by lowering the height of the seat. SOLUTION: A unit swing type four-cycle engine is provided with a cylinder 11 inclined forward in the substantially horizontal direction, a crankcase 13 on a rear side, and a swing case 14 which is extended to a rear side from one side of the crankcase 13 and journals a rear wheel 2 on a rear part. A muffler 25 is arranged on the side of the rear wheel 2 on the opposite side of the swing case 14. The bottom part of the storing box is formed into a shape having a deepest part located on the upper part of the rear wheel 2. In the engine, an air cleaner case 28 is disposed on the upper side of the swing case 14 and on the side of the rear wheel 2 so as to be longitudinally long in the front and rear directions of the vehicle, and a carburetor 26 is connected with the upper surface of a cylinder head 12 at a position higher than an ignition plug arranged in the cylinder head 12 via an intake passage. The venturi axial center of the carburetor 26 is constituted so as to be directed to the vehicle front side of the deepest part of the bottom part of the storing box and in the vehicle width direction in a vehicle plane view. |
