PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint for a cap capable of sufficiently reducing the cap-opening torque and preventing degradation of adhesivity of a liner to a cap body, and the cap using the paint. SOLUTION: The cap comprises a top plate part 2, a cylindrical part 3 suspended from a circumferential edge thereof, the cap body 5 with a painted film 4 formed on an inner face thereof, and a liner 6 provided on the inner face side of the cap body 5. The painted film 4 consists of the paint for the cap including (A) epoxy phenol resin, (B) polyolefin resin, and (C) glycerin fatty acid ester.
