<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag granulated material which has high crushing strength and is capable of appropriately being used as a substitute for sand. SOLUTION: The production process of this slag granulated material comprises preparing slag cake consisting of powdery slag in a dry state, fly ash and cement, (stage a1), charging the prepared slag cake into an agitation granulator 36 and breaking and grinding the charged slag cake, (stage a2), after the grinding, adding the prepared fly ash and cement to the ground slag cake and mixing them together in a dry state, (stages a3 and a4), after the mixing, while adding water to the resulting powdery mixture, granulating the powdery mixture into spherical granulated particles (granules), (stage a5), and after the granulation, allowing the granules to stand still to cure the granules, (state a6), wherein, since the mixing of the raw materials is performed in a dry state, the raw materials can uniformly be mixed, and in the curing of the granules, the hydration reaction is promoted, and further, since the powdery slag, fly ash used as a silica source, and cement are used as the raw materials by the curing after the granulation, a hydration-hardened material each of the granules of which has integrity, can be formed. Thus, crushing strength of the objective slag granulated material can be enhanced.</p> |
