PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric having both characteristics of a polyester fiber and an acetate fiber, and sufficient fiber strength, and further having excellent water-absorbency, rapidly dryable properties and bulking feeling. SOLUTION: This woven or knitted fabric comprises a composite fiber composed of a cellulose acetate multifilament yarn having 48.8-56.2% average degree of acetylation, and a polyester multifilament yarn obtained by copolymerizing 0.8-1.8 mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid component, and 7-17 mol% adipic acid component, and having <=1.372 density, and simultaneously satisfies the following formulas: (1) water absorption (mm)>=50; (2) water drop-diffusing area (cm<2> )>=10; and (3) Qmax (J/cm<2> .sec)>=0.12 (wherein, Qmax represents a value of contact warm and cold feeling).
