PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical element which realizes a compact optical system and reduce the number of parts for the system. SOLUTION: The long optical element 105' manufactured by injecting and molding a plastic material in which element two lenses 105 and 111 are integrated and flanges 105a and 111a are provided outside of the effective optical part of the two lenses. At least part of the cross section of the flange 111a of the first lens 111 of the two lenses is smaller then the cross section of the flange of the second lens 105 of the two lenses.
