PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence of a signal input from a remote side, or the like, irrespective of a kind of the signal. SOLUTION: When the input signal SIG of an 'L' or an 'H' level is impressed into an input terminal 11, a potential difference is generated between nodes N1, N4, and a relay 19 is actuated to output a detection signal DET of the 'H' level. When the input terminal 11 is not connected, the potential difference is not generated between the nodes N1 and N4. Therefore, the relay 19 is not actuated to output no detection signal DET.
