PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide angular ball bearings and a combined angular ball bearing capable of efficiently preventing grease from moving to a place (a place axially outward of a retainer) separated far from a rolling contact surface, especially from moving axially outward of a counter bore side of the retainer. SOLUTION: This angular ball bearing 11 comprises an outer ring 12 having a raceway 12a axially and approximately in the center of an inner periphery and provided with a counter bore on an inner diameter surface 12b axially on one side of the raceway; an inner ring 13 having a raceway 13a on an outer periphery; a plurality of balls 14 rotationally arranged between the raceway 12a of the outer ring 12 and the raceway 13a of the inner ring 13; and the retainer 15 for holding the balls 14 in the peripheral direction in given intervals. On a seal groove 12d formed on the inner diameter surface 12b on the counter bore side of the outer ring 12, a seal 16 forming a labyrinth between a taper surface 15b formed on an outer peripheral surface 15a of the retainer 15 and the seal groove 12d is formed.
