PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hasten and ensure the fastening operation of a nut by releasing the screwing of a bolt with a nut segment, when pressing a nut in the fastening direction to the bolt, to slide the nut segment in the axial direction of the bolt. SOLUTION: This nut 20 comprises an inclined hole 23 conically formed so as to reduce the diameter from the inner circumferential middle part of a nut body 21 to the lower end thereof and a plurality of nut segments 25 with female thread part 25a threaded thereon arranged in the inclined hole so as to be slidable in the axial direction of the nut body, and the nut segment is energized by an elastic body in the diameter reducing direction of the inclined hole. In this nut 20, the valley part 25b of the female thread part of each nut segment 25 is formed so as to be substantially equal in diameter to the ridge part 33b of the bolt male thread part when the lower end of the nut segment 25 is located in the lower end of the inclined hole 23 that is an initial position of upward movement in the insertion of the bolt 33.
