PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for holding the tension of a linear body capable of reducing the number of constitution parts as compared with a conventional constitution, reducing a cost in an easily manufacturable constitution and providing excellent operation functions. SOLUTION: The device 1 for holding the tension of the linear body consists of the linear body 8 connecting one end side to the other member, pulled by the other member and giving urging force, and an operation member 5 held reciprocally movable on a guide member 2 fixed on a holding member 90 and connecting the end side of the linear body 8. The operation member 5 is provided with a canaliform engaging part 6 capable of loosely fitting and locking the other end side projection part 8a of the linear body 8. The guide member 2 is provided with a linear guide part 40 extending in the directions of reciprocal movement Y1, Y2, opposed to the canaliform engaging part 6 of the operation member 5 and guiding the other end side projection part 8a of the linear body 8 to the reciprocal movement directions Y1, Y2 and a long guide hole 4 having an edge side curved engaging part 42 guiding the other side projection part 8a to a locking position and a non-locking position together with the canaliform engaging part 6 of the operation member 5.
