PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warp sizing machine to carry out the sizing after applying water to sheet-formed warps by moistening the warp with hot water to improve the penetration of water and enable the accurate measurement of the water content of the warp before sizing and the accurate control of the water content. SOLUTION: A heater 55 is placed at a position being in contact with water 7 in a tank 8, the water is heated to hot water 7 having a prescribed temperature with the heat-transfer material 56 of the heater 55 without increasing the volume of the water 7 in the tank 8, water is sufficiently penetrated to the core of the fiber of the warp 2 with the hot water 7 to improve the sizing effect on the warp 2 and the amount of water consumed by the warp 2 is determined from the amount of water in the tank 8 to measure and control the water content of the warp.
