PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated aluminum can end material having an excellent adhesion property to a resin layer, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The surface treated aluminum can end material has an aluminum base material 21 consisting of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, a ground surface layer 22 consisting of an anodically oxidized film formed on the front surface of the metallic base material 21 and the resin layer 23 formed on the ground surface layer 22. The film thickness of the anodically oxidized film is 30 to 3,000Åand the void ratio thereof is <=30%.
