PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent shielding performance for oxygen and steam by solving or at least considerably reducing a problem of bending cracks in retort packaging. SOLUTION: A flexible film base packaging material for retort packaging comprises a three-layer laminate including a metallized polyester layer 22 having the gas shielding function. A polyester layer outer 24 is laminated on one side of the metallized polyester layer 22, and a non-oriented polypropylene inner layer 26 is laminated on the side opposite to the metallized polyester layer 22. In another embodiment, a two-layer laminate having the metallized polyester outer layer 22 laminated on the non-oriented polypropylene inner layer 26 is provided. |
