PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the draining property of a vehicle pneumatic tire so as to avoid hydroplaning even under undesirable conditions and at as high driving speeds as possible. SOLUTION: The vehicle pneumatic tire has a center region C in which a tread pattern formed to limit the direction of rotation is separated from shoulder areas by circumferential grooves 2, with the center region having a number of fine grooves 1 extending in the form of V. A number of inclined grooves 4 are positioned within both regional portions of the center region C which are located on the sides of an equator, with the inclined grooves pointing in the same direction as the extension direction of the V-shaped fine grooves 1. The inclined grooves are formed to cross at least three of the circumferentially continuing V-shaped fine grooves and to extend at least in almost straight lines. The inclined grooves 4 extend as they are inclined relative to the equator with anglesβandβ' which are smaller than the angles of the V-shaped fine grooves. The inclined grooves are the widest among all of the grooves or fine grooves of the pattern, and the inclined grooves 4 in one of the regional portions of the center region deviate circumferentially from the inclined grooves in the other of the regional portions. |
