PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling, attaching and maintenance of a pump mechanism, to obviate the need of a driving force dedicated to the pump by sharing a conveyance motor as a driving force, thereby reducing the cost and the size. SOLUTION: This pump mechanism P is constituted of a tube holding body 24 that holds a part of a waste ink tube 22 and is supported to be rotational in both directions, a tube pressing body 25 that is rotatably supported with the tube holding body 24 in close proximity to the tube holding body 24 and presses the part of the tube 22 held by the tube holding body 24 in a predetermined angle range, an interlocking means 26 that synchronously rotates the tube holding body 24 when the tube pressing body 25 is rotated in the predetermined angle range, a means 27 that returns the tube holding body 24 to its initial position when the interlocking of the tube holding body 24 with the tube pressing body 25 is released, and a driving force transmitting means 29 that transmits the rotational force of the medium conveyance motor to the tube pressing body 25 when the medium conveyance means is not in the operation for conveying a medium. |
