PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which the labor required for machining is reduced, cost is reduced and a vapor pan can be fixed easily in a machine room. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a compressor 16 disposed in the machine room 15 at a lower section on the back of the body, and a vapor pan 17 for receiving the defrost water of an evaporator disposed above the compressor 16. The vapor pan 17 is provided, on the front face thereof, with a flange 18 projecting horizontally and a protrusion 20a projecting rearward is provided on the wall face 20 of the machine room 15 facing the flange 18. Furthermore, a hole for inserting a screw 19b is made in the back face of the vapor pan 17 and a supporting piece 19 is formed to project upward. The flange 18 is stopped at an upper part of the protrusion 20a, the screw 19b is inserted into the insertion hole and the supporting piece 19 is secured to the upper back face of the machine room 15 by means of the screw 19b.
